Short and sweet --- like me

Hello, Readers.
If you got the same newsletter more than one week in a row, let's chalk it up to quarantine life. I don't know what a day of the week it is anymore-- unless, of course, it's Tuesday. Tuesday is my soup delivery day, and the only day that seems to bring my week order. I will try to remember that my email comes out the day after soup and be a bit more organized.
On to news, I finally received my copy of Right on Walton, which was released by Sands Press on April 30th. The rest of my author copies will be arriving shortly, and I'm hoping to be able to celebrate this release at some future date when life looks a lot safer for all of us. In the meantime, Left on Main (the e-book) is available for .99 on Kindle. Right on Walton has a special e-book price of $4.99. Paperback copies of both books are available on Amazon and can be ordered anywhere books are sold.
If you've read either or both of my books and enjoyed them, could you please take a couple minutes to leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads? This helps other readers connect with my work. Amazon, in particular, relies on reviews to reach a certain number before they'll start suggesting it to readers.
For my Medium followers, new essays still post daily. On Sundays, you can find my poetry on P.S. I Love You. The rest of the week can bring you a variety of topics including, but not limited to, relationships, mental health, personal growth, mindfulness, and humor. I hope you're enjoying my work. And remember: sharing is caring (unless we're talking about viruses).
Best wishes, warmest regards, and happy reading to you all!
Crystal

I'll be honest. Life has been crazy, and with two small children at home, working on fiction has become an impossibility. But I have been working on another creative project--to be announced later. For now, this is what I've gotten done:
The third book, Deep in the Heart of Madison, is now with my editor and getting ready for a Fall release.
The fourth book is done and waiting for a release in Spring of next year.
The aforementioned super-secret project won't be secret for too much longer. I'm growing my work in new directions. Guess you'll have to stick around to see.
I've got two finished manuscripts getting total overhauls in the near future (a family drama and a mystery), and I'm working on a little magical realism in the latest WIP (work in progress).

I'll post a few titles (with links), and if you see something that catches your eye please head to Medium and give it a read. This time, I'll share a few new ones and then the most popular ones for the month.
New:
“What, then, do we do now? Our world has shifted into an unrecognizable shape. Borders are closed to wanderers. Our hearts are alternately curled inward in self-protection and flung open wildly in desire for connection. Our energy surges and drains away, all in the space of hours, sometimes minutes. What do we do now?”
Life as We Know It: Limited Edition
“Unless we’re talking about the #BossBitchFightClub , an entertaining video perfect for the cabin fever many of us are experiencing, generally fighting with other people on the Internet just doesn’t work out for us. So, why is it hard to just keep scrolling?”
Internet Fight Club: It Doesn't Work and We Need to Stop
“I’m trying to navigate the way I’m feeling, but there is no charted course through these dangerous waters.”
When Moods Change Like Time and Tides
Popular:
“What possible success can be measured in living a life that is so much less than what it could be?”
My Wedding Anniversary, My Divorce Anniversary, and Me
“I have zero interest in being awarded for the best supporting role in my own life, and I’m sure as hell not going to fill that spot in a relationship where my own life, work, and interests are disregarded rather than supported. I’ve had that relationship, more than once. I’m not interested.”
Why We Should Stop Choosing the Partner Who Needs Us
“Being ghosted might just have been the best thing that ever happened to you, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. Being ghosted is an opportunity, although it rarely, if ever, feels like one. We can choose to allow it to disempower us, or we can actually choose to take advantage of the opportunity it presents to us.”
Being Ghosted was the Best Thing That Ever Happened to You

This is my reading list lately. I finished Untamed. I'm 2/3 of the way through Traveling with Pomegranates. I just finished The Paris Hours, and I read The Two Lives of Lydia Bird in a day. Is anyone else having a hard time reading? My attention is all over the place. I'll likely tackle my next Book of the Month book next and finish the Mary Oliver Poetry Handbook. I read based on my mood--switching between genres as my mood changes. What's on your reading list lately?
