Poetry Book Sneak Peek, New Reading, and More

Hello, Readers.
The Summer solstice came and went. Hello, Summer!
It's going to be a strange one. Usually, I'd been planning travel and scheduling a vacation. This year, I'm mostly waiting and watching. So, we go to the lake. We got on lots of walks. We make this suspended-seeming time count because it is still our time after all.
I'm looking forward to all that's ahead. I've found out that The Next Chapter Convention and Expo in September in Ringgold, Georgia, is still on, so I'll be there signing Left on Main, Right on Walton, and my first poetry book, My Words are Whiskey-- featuring the work of Christina Nicole of Lady Horror Art.
I may start scheduling Fall/Winter appearances. I'd love to be back to meeting readers and signing books, but for the foreseeable future, I'll probably be doing it in a mask. That's okay; we can always pretend we're auditioning for Grey's Anatomy. I'll have to work on expressions other than eye rolling and side eye. haha
What else? I've been doing a lot of reading and reviewing books lately. An upside of my new schedule is that I have a little more time to read--mostly because my stress level is up higher and reading calms me. If you've read any of my books and enjoyed it, please leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads (copy & paste will make this easy for both). This is how other readers find (and choose) my work. Thanks so much for all your support!
Happy reading!
Crystal

This is my TBR pile. It grows & grows. Some books have stayed on it a little while. I read entirely based on my mood. Right now, I'm alternating between Bird by Bird and Until It Fades. I just finished K. A. Tucker's other books The Simple Wild and Wild at Heart (highly recommend). Anyway, I'll get to them when I can, and I'm looking forward to every single one.
I don't get to read as much when I'm writing--but my current work in progress is on hold until my kids go back to school. Happily, I've pivoted to poetry and getting some poetry books out to you. I'll finish my WIP by the end of the year, but I'm enjoying all the extra reading time right now.
