Poetry Book Sneak Peek, New Reading, and More

Hello, Readers!
Can I start with saying how much I've appreciated your support? This has been a challenging year, and your support has meant that I can continue doing what I love. You have my gratitude!
So, what's up next?
My first poetry book, My Words are Whiskey-- featuring the work of Christina Nicole of Lady Horror Art, will be out in July. I'll post a release day on social media within the next week, so be on the lookout.
I have an appearance at a book convention in North Georgia (near the Chattanooga area) scheduled this Fall. At this point, I'm just watching the news and waiting to see if it will be able to go ahead.
There have been three big pluses to this year. I've had more time with my kids, which isn't ideal when working but has still been appreciated. I've also been able to focus my attention on poetry while I've put some of my fiction development on hold until school re-opens. My first poetry book will be just that--the first. I haven't formally released a schedule, but I'm planning on releasing volumes through 2022.
Last but not least, I've actually had extra time to read this year. I'm already close to reaching my reading goals for the entire year--going into the seventh month. Next up, Fishing! by Sarah Stonich.
If you've read any of my books, please take a minute to leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads. It helps other readers decide what to read next and also helps Amazon recommend my work to other readers. Thanks for reading!
Crystal

The Fairy Tale Love Story Grows Up When We Do
A modern take on romance and relationships
"Our concept of relationships should mature as we do, and yet I still hear people talk about jealousy like it’s proof of love or characterize toxic can’t-live-with-you-can’t-live-without-you relationships as evidence of passion. On the flipside, there are those who think that maturity means sacrificing ourselves, settling for lackluster relationships, and generally accepting that we’ll never really have the love we want. Either end of the spectrum leaves me feeling perplexed. Are those the only choices?
We need a grown-up fairy tale — one that allows for strong, passionate love but doesn’t allow for bullshit."
