Good morning from beautiful Madison, Georgia, the birthplace of the Heart of Madison series.
Latest Work-in-Progress
Some of you have asked if I’m working on any more novels. I am—but I’m also writing more slowly than I have in the past. My slow pace can be attributed to recovering from COVID, having kids out on summer break, and balancing multiple work responsibilities. I have three novels in progress and a poetry book set to release this Fall. I aim to finish at least ONE of the three, but ideally, I’d love to see two finished by the end of the year and ready for editing. The third one is going to be a massive rewrite that I may shelve for a little while.
I’m also my latest WIP (work-in-progress). I continue to learn and grow as a human and writer. It hasn’t been an easy couple of years. I’ve experienced loss, been diagnosed with an invisible illness, and dealt with the pandemic and economic anxiety we’ve all been facing. But I’m still here, still writing, and still hoping that some of my words ease a little of your suffering and make you feel seen.

I know you’ve got the rest of your busy week to get back to, but I wanted to give a few reading recommendations and find out what you’re reading (comment on this newsletter so we can all check out your suggestions). Here are a few I’ve particularly enjoyed over the last couple of weeks.

A Bonus For You
If you follow me on social media, you may have seen that I’m teaching yoga on the side now. For those who aren’t local and can’t make it to a class, you can always find yoga teachers in your area or even do yoga at home. Yoga With Adriene is my absolute favorite, so I’m attaching a short morning yoga practice for anyone who might enjoy it.
I hope you have a beautiful day and wonderful weekend!
Best Wishes and Warmest Regards,
Crystal
