I'm not raising them for meat at all. Only eggs. Even in a mixed flock, they will never be consumed as meat. Ever. They will only ever be for eggs. But since I take care of chickens and care about them, I do feel like there's an ethical issue in eating them from other sources. I don't feel comfortable doing so.
