I spent a blissful few days on St. Simon’s Island, Readers. For those of you who don’t know, it’s a small island on the Georgia coast, a not-too-terrible drive from me. It was much-needed, but now I’m hitting the ground running trying to get caught back up. There’s not enough coffee in the world for this week, but I’m trying. Let’s talk news!
Upcoming Blog Tour
I’m still busy circulating my Heart of Madison series and poetry books. There’s an upcoming blogger tour for my series at the end of the month, courtesy of Enticing Journeys. Message me if you want a chance to participate. Participants will read and review my books and will share them out on social media each day of the tour.
Also, keep a lookout on my social media pages. There will be a chance for you to enter a raffle to win a signed copy of my series (U.S.-only right now). If you already have my series (thanks for that btw), feel free to tag a friend when the post comes out!
Podcast Appearance
In Medium-related news, I’ve been invited to make a guest appearance on This is a True Story podcast. I’ll be recording that this week, and I’ll update you when it’s live. I’m truly excited about this opportunity, and you should definitely check out this inspirational podcast!
Local Artist Series
In News Break-related news, I’m publishing a local artist series during the month of May. I’ll be featuring local artists who display their work at the Madison Artists Guild and Gallery where my work is also featured. I’m looking forward to introducing you to some amazing local artists!
I’ve got a couple of manuscripts in progress, and I’m still planning to release a third poetry book by the end of the year. Stay tuned for more on upcoming books.

NF Awareness Month
You’ll likely see me share some information this month about neurofibromatosis. I have a child with NF1, and May is NF Awareness Month. If you like, you can make a donation to the Children’s Tumor Foundation, which funds research to end NF.
What I’m Reading
Okay-maybe you don’t care about this one, but I’m always interested in what other people are reading. So… maybe you are, too? Currently, I am enjoying the slow burn of the enemies-to-friends romance From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata. Now, I have to read everything she’s ever written because it’s just that good!
Other books I read recently and highly recommend include Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne (author of The Hating Game—yes, I love the enemies-to-lovers trope), Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert, and How to Stop Time by Matt Haig. These were all spectacular reads. I’m reading #35 of 50 books for my 2021 Goodreads Challenge—but I’m sure I’m going to go way over goal at this rate!
I’m back in the office again and ready to work—even though I’m missing the beach terribly right now. I’m going to dive back in now. Don’t forget to follow me on social media for sassy memes, heartfelt posts, and new work. Y’all are the best!
Best Wishes & Warmest Regards,
Crystal
