Ah, Monday! A much-maligned day of the week. My weekend was not so fabulous, but I’m all about a fresh start. I’m trying to realign my thoughts and prepare to have a really good week—even though I know it will be a busy one. Instead of focusing on the overwhelm I’ve been drowning in lately, I took myself out for a change of scene. Lake time on my paddleboard was followed by time on my bike, and then I felt ready to tackle this week.
Okay—so far, I’ve just tackled coffee. And this newsletter. And some social media scrolling. But next … work stuff!
Anyway, I don’t know if you’re having a good day or a bad one, but I hope you’ll choose to make the most of the time remaining today. It’s early yet (well, it is here in the US). There’s a whole beautiful day ahead, and I’m trying not to borrow worry (a thing I do) and overthink (guilty, yet again). Instead, I’m grateful for another day to try again.
Is my mood being positively impacted by the pumpkin spice latte I’m guzzling? Totally possible. My week includes appointments with my kids, content writing, Medium articles, a fat stack of library books I plan to read, and then on Saturday, I’m going to help out at the local library book sale. I’m also in puppy countdown mode (more on that closer to time—I’m sure I’ll introduce the little guy when he comes home).
I’ll have actual book signings happening in November—on the 7th at In High Cotton and on the 14th at the Madison Artist’s Guild. If you’re not local and can’t make those, I am doing signed copies to ship (US only, free shipping).
Here’s what you might have missed on Medium lately:
A New Revolutionary Self-Love Social Media Photo Challenge — published in Illumination Curated and meant for all of us
Empty Space Matches Your Shape —a love poem, published in P.S. I Love You
7 Easy Ways to Simplify Your Social Media Engagement — published in Illumination-Curated for all you entrepreneurs out there
A Case for Crying in Public: Our Discomfort with Emotions Has a Human Cost — a piece on suicide awareness, published on P.S. I Love You
If You Want a Healthy Relationship, Quit Dating —this one’s for you single pringles, published on P.S. I Love You
My third book in the Heart of Madison series (and fourth official published work), Deep in the Heart of Madison, is now available on Kindle. If you’re unable to get print copies on Amazon, there was a backup of print copies due to pre-orders. You can place your order with me (again US only for right now due to the cost of shipping), and I’ll send a signed copy (PayPal & Venmo accepted).
If you’ve read any of my books and enjoyed them, please be sure to leave a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads.
Okay—it’s time for another cup of coffee and some work. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Warmest Regards,
Crystal
